Ammonite fossils come from an extinct cephalopod marine animal that lived in the same era as the dinosaurs. Over time, the shells were mineralized, and light reflects through the outer layers which gives the fossil an iridescent effect similar to opal or abalone. For these ammonites, they have a red/orange/pink flash. They are very pretty and 100% nature-made!
