These specimens were discovered during highway construction near Aurangabad, Maharashtra in India. This area is well-known for producing top quality zeolite minerals. 

Pink apophyllite is uncommon; the pink coloring can be caused by stilbite or manganese inclusions.  "Mirror" apophyllite is a trade name for apophyllite that has an especially lustrous surface that catches the light at several different angles.
